We stayed here because it was not far from hednesford hills race track and i was there racing the speed weekend, and you was the only hotel left that had any rooms available. Our stay was very pleasant the room was clean, the bed comfy the staff very helpfull. we would recommend this hotel and stay again. thank you and your staff for a pleasant stay..
Location as it suited us.
When we arrived the receptionists was very helpful and welcoming however when we reached our room we found that the satff had placed 4 large cages full of boxes and laundry in the room. When we complained the intial reaction was "I will move them" then after 15 to 20 mins the receptionists then decided to assign another room. As we arrived late in the evening after a long day and lots of travelling all we wanted to do was have something to eat and go to bed and due to the delay we missed out on any food as they were closed and ended up moving rooms due to the staff incompetence. Not happy
Just handy location to stop en route somewhere else with late check in if I'd needed it
When we arrived the girl checking us in was very good.we had booked a family room. Wehn we went to our room there wasonly a double bed made up no laundry for other 2 beds, beds were not even pulled put. Our arrival was just after 10pm at night with twin 5 year old boys coming from a long journey from france, my husband complained to reception girl was very helpfull and managed to "find" sheets quilts etc. Just found the set up of the room shocking any other hotel, premier inn etc has always been spot on for us arriving. Due to this we will not be returning, which is a shame as a perfect location and had been previously recommended by other family we were traveling with who also had the exact same problem on arrival. When booking family room you expect it to be set up as a family!!
The location - we were on a return journey from France, so used this Days Inn as a stopover stay.
I had booked a family room in advance, but when we arrived at 10pm the children's beds weren't made up. We had to go back to reception and ask where the bedding was - the receptionist kindly made up the beds for us, but when you arrive at 10pm with very tired children you expect this to have already been done, considering we had booked a family room in advance. This is the third time we have stayed here (previously a Premier Inn), and never had this problem before so we were disappointed.
Good staff, nice ,clean and comfy and good value.
Nowhere to have fresh fruit for breakfast
Ex-Premier Inn, turned into Days Inn Hotel, so Hotel hardly changed, so all the things you get with premier inn, still in place
No telephone in room, so extra towels left in room for my wife. 2 single beds pushed into one, prefer larger double bed
very friendly staff, excellent services area , spacious and airy, felt like a cruise liner. Deffinetly breaks the moiuld of traditional motorway services.
Overall I liked this hotel, friendly, efficient check in, good directions to room and the offer of any help needed to call and someone would come along (disabled friendly room) the room was a good size, nice and clean, wheelchair accessible, 9 out of 10
There were only a couple of things not so good here, the mattress on the bed is way to soft for a disabled person and a bad back sufferer, also the room was located right next door to a private (I presume staff room of some sort) and we could hear a member of staff or rather the heels of their shoes clonking around the room most of the night, fortunately we always have earplugs so we solved that particular problem, as usual the food in the service station area is not the best and way over priced but thats a minor gripe.
The receptionist shanaid
With the voucher for breakfast it needs to be made clear that you can only have the standard breakfast and any extras have to be paid for . I thought I was getting a good deal for 7.50 but in fact it cost me 19.00.
Staff were friendly enough.Comfortable bed. Good shower. Location was handy. Only place with rooms at the time.
We paid £15 for two breakfast's but the receptionist forgot to give us a token so we had to pay £21 for a full english and continental (rip off!!) but was only refunded the £15. Only one set of towels and two coffee sachets for two people. No freeview channels and no phone in room to call reception. If you just need a room for one night it's ideal, just avoid eating on the services.
Excellent service from staff and cleanliness
Clean, friendly staff
Only two issues with the stay was the mattress seemed old and had a saggy point in the middle which made for a uncomfortable nights sleep. The other issue was the shower would keep changing from cold to too hot on its own.
Shame they did not have a cheaper single room, I had a family room.
